a light to the darkness

Sometimes I wonder where ideas come from; have often theorized that there is a separate part of our soul that connects with the idea fairy... it might be so.

So very often these days, wonderful ideas come because of the luck of being connected with some amazing other souls travelling in parallel ...

Thank you my dear Smoke Swallow ~ Rouchswalwe, for sending this today

Younger

There's a conclusion to my illusion
I assure you this
There's no end to this confusion
if you let it wish you well
soul to sell
highest bidders, can't you tell what you're getting?
There is a light to all this darkness
I will tell you this
there's redemption in you asking them just why it is
Some answers are better left unspoken when you know you ain't getting any younger,

Younger, younger
Are you?...

Why we fight to get on loving I've been wondering
How your mind will leave you hanging your heart lingering
stay lost
then found by whoever stays around, forgetting
There is a way to be yourself, I assure you this
There's a way to catch your dreams without falling asleep
You might as well get it while you can, babe
'cause you know you ain't getting any younger,

Younger, younger
Are you?...

There is a light to all this darkness if only we
fight against them telling us how we should be.
I refuse to have you break me
when you know you ain't getting any younger,

Younger, younger
Are you?

  1. Whether one is 24 or 64, the same holds true.

    "What are we waiting for?"

It would be a great duet for Halle and Allie

    Love you, -alice

  2. Today I caught a glance in a mirror of me smiling. There were decades where I avoided mirrors, there were decades where it was hard to smile...

We are not getting any younger but we can become happier and more authentic souls...

    1. I catch myself grinning ~ not something I used to do often at all.

Planning on having lots of reasons for broad smiling.

  3. Isn't it wonderful when something that speaks to you can be shared. All my life, I've had a foot in one culture and the other in another. Bi-cultural beings ask, where is home? Who am I? Seinabo grew up black in Sweden. Right? Talk about being different. Whew. "There's a way to be yourself. I assure you this." What a song! What a singer! What a bus ride ... this life.
