I have no clear explanation for the feelings this painting kindles in my heart. 
It has been on my desktop for weeks waiting for me to acknowledge it somehow

    Could be that was the self image many of us carried in our hearts for so long...

    For forty years I tried to grow my hair to that length but it always stopped about a foot short. Ironically now that I have changed I finally allow myself the joy of visits to a hairdresser, denighed myself since I was at school, and now have a short style...
