A Former and a Shaper

We featured Gillian Cameron's Calogrenant on T-Central some time ago.
It is there on my list of blogs I read, and it is listed on T-Central.

So why feature it here today?

Because dear reader, what Gillian is writing is so very dear to my heart.
She is doing what I would love to find a way to do; highlight the power each of us has in our life.
And, I know some of you use the translator feature here, so I'm going to put the wisdom from today's Calogrenant down below for all to read and ponder.

THROUGH YOUR
MIND AND SOUL
RUNS THE SPIRAL OF
TIME AND SPACE.
WITHIN YOU ARE
THE POWERS OF
MAKING AND TRANSFORMATION.
YOU ARE A FORMER AND A SHAPER.

If you somehow have missed out on reading the whole of Calogrenant's adventure so far, you should start from the beginning

  1. Have not read from 'beginning' nor T-Central, I dare ask what happens to the power of fear within us?

  2. I think we could exchange some emails on this topic. It is a big one.

Your phrase "the power of fear within us" reminds me that for most of my life I was paralyzed into inaction by fear of who I might really be hiding inside.

Now, fear is not gone, but it is harnessed as a positive part of the logical process. I accept that I have responsibility and choice and do shape my world, whether I want to or not. No longer allowing fear to have the power to stop me from actively participating in that process was one of the first steps toward seeing that I had a future as myself, and not as a person formed and shaped by others.

Thank you for asking me to think about this Ellena. Please suggest a conversation by email if you think I could do more to clarify and help.

  3. I read the whole story, Halle, and it is a marvelous one which touched me a lot.
I'm sure many of us wish to be brave enough to ride into the forest to become the woman they used to be to the end of their days.
And when one day, everybody would react as Lord Myrddyn did, there would be no fear anymore. It seems to me that he even accepted that Cologrenant had been transformed into a maiden easier than she did. It was quite a normal thing for him. A dream! Afterwards she became such a beautiful woman inside and outside, who however didn't lose her old strength and abilities.
Transition does not mean to give up the life before it only means to be able to live all your dreams.

All the best to you Halle!

    1. I am still haunted by Gillian's images in the section where Callie is learning through visions what it has meant over the ages to be a woman.

A marvellous story indeed, still being revealed!

      Best to you too Feli,

      Halle

  4. My comment, mundane as it was, appears to have been lost, so I'll try again.

We have visited the Foret de Broceliande in Brittany, and visited Merlin's tomb. It is also, or so I believe, the home of the wonderful 'stilt walkers' who visit our area from time to time.

    1. Ah Tom, your "mundane" comment has caused me to do a fair amount of learning this morning. I had no idea that stilt walking was a way of life for some whose work required them to navigate in thickets or bogs. No wonder they were able to not only walk, but run on their stilts!
As for Merlin or Myrddin... so much to learn and so little time.
