Not so very long ago,

Life took place in two very separate worlds

Last week

those worlds became one

Three ladies shared a lovely day together

and as it came to a reluctant end, 

I watched  

my sweetie and our friend Alice 

share a goodbye hug

Not so very long ago

I dreamed such a meeting

No longer a dream
